Training & Curriculum Development Manager

Rayna Reyes Charles is from Wahiawa, Hawaii, and has called New England her second home since 2000. She has over two decades of experience in training, supporting program implementation, and systems change, with a strong commitment to trauma prevention. As the Training and Curriculum Development Manager at the Center on Child Wellbeing and Trauma (CCWT), she provides training, technical assistance, and strategic support to help organizations build trauma-responsive systems.
Before joining CCWT, Rayna led statewide training initiatives, curriculum design, and technical assistance programs, helping organizations develop learning systems, enhance professional development, and implement sustainable prevention strategies. She has expertise in large-scale training management, cross-sector collaboration, and capacity building to drive lasting change.
As the spouse of a retired Army service member who served overseas and in combat, Rayna understands the resilience required of military families and the importance of strong community support. These experiences have deepened her dedication to trauma prevention and family support.
Rayna holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Arkansas and a graduate certificate in nonprofit leadership and management from Boston University. She lives in Merrimac with her husband, their daughter, a college student, and their pets—Penny, a Labrador Retriever, and Oreo, a cat who believes he’s in charge.
